BLACK HILLS CHAMBER MUSIC SOCIETY
The Black Hills Chamber Music Society has been an important part of the music scene in the area for over 35 years. It is probably best known for its annual Chamber Music Concert Series. However, this is but one part of what the Society does for the community in the area of music. The Black Hills Chamber Music Society is a part of several areas of community service.

The Chamber Music Society co-sponsors with the Dakota Choral Union, the annual Clare & Josef Meier Young Vocal Artist Competition for high school age vocalists.

They also co-sponsor with the Symphony League, the annual Chamber Music for Children Project, presenting a total of 50 chamber music concerts for about 1500 fifth graders from the elementary schools in Rapid City.

They sponsor the annual Elder Musik Project which schedules 30 to 40 professional quality music programs for approximately 1000 residents of the care centers in the area.

The Black Hills Chamber Music Society also sponsors the Holiday Music in the Rushmore Mall, a cooperative financial effort of the Mall, Allied Arts Fund and Black Hills Chamber Music Society, to present local musical groups in the Mall during the holiday season.

All concerts 7:30 pm at First Congregational Church.
