Every dollar we receive goes a long way... no matter how small or large the contribution.

Please consider donating or sponsoring one of our talented local musicians today. Your gift allows the symphony to continue to provide the finest in orchestral performance and symphonic music education for the people of the Black Hills region. Opportunities of giving are listed below.

General Support Contributions

The symphony relies on unrestricted donations to cover our rising operating costs of concert programming. Some expenses include rent, insurance, and music rental.

Concert and Guest Artist Sponsorships

By sponsoring a certain concert or guest artist, you are helping to ensure that those specific concert costs are met. Levels of giving start at $1,000 for co-sponsorship of a concert and $5000 for exclusive concert sponsorship. These gifts provide our audience with a high quality of performance.

Chair Sponsorships

Levels of chair sponsorship include student chairs $250, adult chairs $500, or principal chairs $600. You may select the musician or section you wish to sponsor. The symphony currently consists of 90 members who seek your support.

Endowment Contributions

To safeguard the future of the orchestra, the symphony invites contributions to the endowment fund. Income from this fund provides continues support for the orchestra and ensures sustainability and growth.

In-Kind Contributions

Contribution of goods and services by businesses and organizations benefit the Black Hills Symphony Orchestra.

Volunteer

Opportunities include becoming a board member or committee member, distributing posters, and grant writing. Concert day help includes stuffing programs, lobby set up, handing out programs, ticket takers and reception workers.
