31st Annual Young Artist Competition Awards

Thank you to everyone who helped make this year's Young Artist Competition a success. Congratulations to our winners:
Brian Goetzinger 1st place senior division
Sam Nelson 2nd place senior division
Deborah Matters 1st place junior division
Claire Porter 2nd place junior division
William Hanson judge's honorable mention

The judges were extremely impressed with the caliber and poise of the student musicians. During his remarks, judge Clark Potter said the students gave them "treat after treat" and praised Rapid City for its dedication to supporting young musicians.

Goetzinger will be performing with the Symphony at the March 6th concert. Nelson, Matters and Porter will be performing at the Symphony League Tea on February 13th at 2:00PM at the Black Hills Piano Gallery.
