The Black Hills Symphony will collaborate with Rapid City native Nick Terry, and his Los Angeles Percussion Quartet. LAPQ is an innovative and dynamic chamber music ensemble that earned multiple nominations for the 2013 Grammy® Awards.

Black Hills Symphony will feature an evening of Christmas Favorites with Tenor, Ryan Carson. Master Sgt. Carson is a vocalist with The United States Air Force Band in Washington, D.C.

The Black Hills Symphony will perform Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 4, and Verdi’s Overture to “La forza del destino”. These symphonic masterworks are united by a common theme … confronting one’s own fate.

Composer Michael McLean’s paints tonal pictures of elements, earth, fire, air, and water in his Violin Concerto “ Elements”. Featured guest artist Brian Lewis, has been described as a “charismatic star”... whose impeccable virtuosity and emotional directness are stunning."
The winner of the B.H.S.O. Young Artist Competition will also perform.
